I just use manure – we have a sandy loam type soil here – grows plants very well (including weeds)
I live in Arizona, and will be moving to the WA. area in march of 2010. Is your ground amended with anything other than manure ? It looks so dark and fertile..My ground is mostly granite, I have to make my soil out of compost and grow it in a raised bed..
